The The Garden Pair - The Avocado & Fennel Candle Gift Box

$219.00

For two people who've just got one front door.

Verdant · Sculptural · Never wilts

Two memories on one table. The avocado is the Inca Trail, which my husband and I walked while we were dating. The fennel is my Nan's village in the Fens, where it sometimes grew wild. One from the other side of the world, one from the bottom of an English garden, both cast from real produce and finished by hand.

The lore
Both arrive with a past. The Inca brought the avocado home from a conquered people called the Palta, and palta is still its name in Peru five hundred years later.

On Midsummer Eve in Tudor London, long fennel hung over every doorway, with lamps burning all night. Between them, they've got you covered.

What's in it, and what isn't
NZ beeswax and soy, coloured with German-made candle dye, with a cotton wick. That's the whole list: no fillers, no nasties. No fragrance either. Not "natural fragrance", not a "botanical blend". None.

Give it for

  • A couple moving in together. A pair, for a pair.

  • A housewarming. Fennel once guarded English doorways.

  • The friend who struggles to grow anything. Finally, a crop they can't kill.

The details

  • The Avocado Candle: 10.5 cm tall, 6.5 cm wide, 198 g, approx. 20 hours

  • The Fennel Candle: 13.5 cm tall, 9 cm wide, 307 g, approx. 3 hours. It's a showpiece that burns with dramatic drips, so light it for an occasion and stand it on a dish.

  • Cast from real produce and hand-finished in Auckland

  • Arrives together in one box

  • Bought separately they're $258. As a pair you save $39.

RITUALS

Place your Heritage Tomato Candle on a flat surface and on a candle tray (for stability and to make sure that your furniture doesn’t get damaged). Take a seat in front of it and take a moment to really look at your candle, take in the colour, the details, pick it up and take in its texture and weight. Pop it back down and close your eyes. Light your candle. Watch your candle as it warms up, taking in the flickering light. Take some deep breaths and start to picture what it is that you are wanting to call in with your Heritage Tomato Ritual. Picture what it is, picture how you’ll feel. Picture how it will enhance your life. Picture how you can make steps to move towards these things.

You can also use a notebook and write out what it is that you are wanting to manifest.
